| Summer 2011 | 2011 SUP INSTRUCTION | Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) provides a total core body workout and allows for unmatched views of our local rivers and the Chesapeake Bay. The Staff at East of Maui will introduce you to the sport of SUP, equipment care, proper paddle stroke and turning. 2 hour private lesson $95 (add one additional student for $75. 2 hour group lesson (3-6 students per class) $60 per person. Equipment is included in price of instruction board, paddle, pfd. Call the shop to schedule your lesson. |

11th Annual Chesapeake Bay Paddle Fest with Ultimate Watersports at Gunpowder Falls State Park |
Demo STAND UP PADDLE BOARDS will be available from, Bic, Naish, Oxbow, McTavish, NSP, Surf Series, 7 Surfboards, Walden and more! Paddles and life jackets will also be provided at no charge. You may bring your own PFD if you prefer. Manufacturer representatives and SUP experts will be on hand to assist you in selecting your demo gear and to answer all your questions. SUP Demos, Clinics and entertainment are FREE to the public. The event will be held rain or shine. Although there is no fee for the event, the Maryland State Park does charge a $3/person admission fee for guests arriving in vehicles with Maryland tags, and $4/person for vehicles from out-of-state. To take part in the free demos, all guests must register at the Registration Tent and complete a liability release waiver. Kayak and SUP Demos are only available to ages 13 and over. All minors participating must have the signature of a parent. Appropriate shoes are mandatory for all demos (i.e. water sports shoes, sandals, Tevas or similar, scuba/snorkeling booties, tennis shoes are acceptable). Bare feet will NOT be permitted on demo gear and flip flops are NOT recommended. For more information call 410-573-9463. |
